Kolkata - Bhitarkanika National Park - Puri - Gopalpur - Muniguda - Chandoori Sai - Visakhapatnam

Formerly known as Orissa, Odisha is India in her most raw form: wild natural beauty, remarkable temples and flourishing tribal cultures. An epic adventure through a timeless region of India, this two-week Odisha tour starts in Kolkata, before heading south into the heart of Orissa. Throughout the trip, you’ll take in the full range of unique experiences that Odisha has to offer, including boat rides through mangrove forests and wetlands, day walks, tribal village and market visits and one of India’s greatest temples - the Sun Temple of Konark. You’ll travel through remote areas where life has changed little for generations, encountering cultural traditions that are rarely seen by outsiders. With limited tourist infrastructure in parts of the region, this tour suits curious and flexible travellers who value access to authentic experiences. The trip finishes in Visakhapatnam, where you might like to extend your stay to explore some of the lovely beaches in the area.

Trip Highlights

Explore Raghurajpur, a heritage painting village where skilled patachitra artists create intricate artworks using natural pigments on cloth, palm leaves, and handmade paper

Cruise through the mangrove forests and estuarine waterways of Bhitarkanika National Park, one of India’s most ecologically rich wetland sanctuaries
