India Travel: Hotel Update for Delhi, 2013

Hotels in India seem to suffer wear and tear at a quicker rate than elsewhere, which makes it essential for me to visit often in order to inspect new and existing hotels, as well as to closely monitor feedback from our travellers. The standouts from my recent visit were Mantra Amaltas a mid-range property in a leafy south Delhi suburb, with a great rooftop restaurant/bar; Lutyen’s Bungalow a character filled colonial bungalow-turned-B&B in a handy central location near the upscale Khan Market; and a newly refurbished Radisson Blu in Connaught Place, a 4 star option perfect for shopping and sightseeing.

Overall it seems Delhi is developing lots of varied accommodation options, in terms of price and style, with new hotels opening with regularity – which is great for keeping rates low and quality high.
