The India Unbound Story

In 1995, Lincoln Harris ventured to India as a 16 year
old. After repeated trips back, and the completion of
school and university, he started taking people to India
to share his passion for the country.

A year earlier, and independent of Lincoln’s travels,
Faith Pandian travelled extensively through India
for the first time. She fell in love with the place and
the people, and decided to create a business bringing
travellers to India.

Because of their backgrounds, both as Westerners and
experienced travellers in India, Faith and Lincoln were
perfectly placed to understand what people wanted
out of a trip to India.

Both businesses grew quickly through strong word of
mouth recommendations. When Faith met and married
Pandian in India in 1997, his business experience and
knowledge of the Indian travel industry brought fresh
momentum to the enterprise, and soon they had offices
opening all over India.

In the meantime Lincoln continued to lead groups to
India, all the while building his knowledge of India
and refining the travel options on offer. In 2004, with
Lincoln based in Australia and Faith and Pandian in
India, the two enterprises began to collaborate in the
running of tours. Collaboration turned to partnership
and India Unbound was born.
